I read a lot of reviews and comments before I started this diet to trying to separate the marketing from the real. Now I realize that the comments are all for real. I have only been on diet for 1. It is amazing. The weight just falls off! I was prepared to be hungry in the first few days. I have literally had only two only minor hunger pangs and mood and energy level is better. I am really encouraged and do not see any down side yet. I am scared about the reefed and maintenance; I worry that it will be hard to maintain the loss, but taking it one day at a time. If you are thinking about doing this diet, do it! I did cohens 3 yrs ago this month. One of the easiest diets I ever did .. I said eeassy!!!! I did maintain for quite sometime but kept reverting every couple of months back to the programme which in hindsight hindered my stabilization of metabolism .. I came accross this page and seeing that it's fearly up to date, thought I'll add my experience with the diet. I went on the program 3 years ago at 1. Less than three months later I ended my re- feed on 8. Since then I dropped more wheight and at my lightest weighed 8. The first time I encountered gaining a bit was middle to end last year. I'm currently on 8. To combat this bit of gain I'm currently back for a few weeks and want to loose a bit more than origanaly. The secret to the diet in my opinion is the re- feed! Follow it by the book and listen to your body. Hope this answers a few questions. I wish people would understand that everyone has a unique body with a unique DNA- pattern. Cohen nowhere claims that he can change your DNA and therefore miraculously change the reasons why you picked up the weight in the first place. But he is a problemsolver, if you agree to follow this strategy to change your habits in following the advised blueprint to manage your health after you have lost the weight. 1st Personal Diet Refeeding Diet PlanOf course people will gain weight, if they start eating again in the way that made them fat or sick originally. If one wants to be reasonable, you will understand that most people are overweight due to wrong eating or lifestyle habits for their own particular body, DNA or condition. To say that you started eating . I personally had to understand that I was not borne with so- called ideal genes for being slender and healthy, should I eat like most . I had to understand that, should I want to be healthy as I can be, I need to make permanent changes and learn to live by them, to stay healthy. Just like somebody that discovered he or she suffers from diabetes, or such. My food is my medication in this case. In the end, one saves money! All the ailments that I suffered from before I was on this program and do not suffer from anymore, cost me a fortune, I do not need to run to doctors anymore. I am 4. 8 and lost 3. Not just because I am much thinner, but because I walk with a smile on my face and I HAVE ENERGY and feel so grateful to have my real body back again, as well as full body function. I WOULD LIKE THEM TO SAY: YOU HAVE TO EAT ONE SLICE OF BREAD BEFORE YOU EAT A SLAB CHOCALATES OF THIS AMOUNT OF GRAMS OR EAT 2 SLICES ECT. BUT IT REALY WORKS AND I FEEL AND LOOK FENOMINAL AT 4. Y. REGARDS AND GOOD LUCK. I started in August with my neighbour. I lost my 8 kgs in two months and I feel wonderful. This is the best diet I have ever done. It might be a bit expensive but after spending heaps of money on fad diets, this is the only one that works. My neighbour will start her re feed next week and she looks really good. If you want to shed the kgs, this is the one !! I personally know 1. My dance teacher lost 4. Her mother in law is down 9. She has been on it for almost 3. Members of my church choir started to follow because of them and have all been successful. A young woman on my dance team has been on it since august 1. She has lost 2. 6 so far. That was enough for me. If the good Dr. Cohen would come into the light some more, I think he would get a lot more people on board. This program works and it works more dramatically than anything I've done before. I'm half way through my fourth week and have lost 2. For the 1. 4 days I no longer feel at all hungry after meals and my energy level is fine. The weight fell off VERY rapidly in the first week, and has settled into about 3 - 4 pounds per week since then. It works best if you do EXACTLY what the diet says. All healthy natural foods, not a lot of calories.. She is targeting post- preg gain, and I'm targeting lazy? I'm only on day 4 today but haven't been hungry much - I suppose all the water helps. I'm surprisingly not missing the wine that much, but then again weekend and its events is still coming. But I can smell fresh bread everywhere : ( clearly all in my head. We'll see how it goes. Need to loose 2. 3kg. The hardest thing is dodging food from other people - has made socialising difficult. But shall sacrifice for success! I didn't realise how much picking i used to do between meals. Even though ive always eaten healthy, this is teaching me about portion sizes and how much i should be eating. I was eating way to much. Still missing my chocolate and sweets but getting better every day. Ive lost 4. 5kgs so far and still have 9kgs to go. At 2. 31 lbs I had lapband surgery in Oct 2. I only got down to 2. It works but you have to be very strict with yourself and it gets difficult trying to stop other people from feeding you. I still get lightheaded once or twice a week though and while I feel better, physical exertion makes the lightheadedness worse - particularly when you are due to eat. I think this is a great diet for people who are willing to change their lifestyles - but it's not easy at all. The best eating plan ever, I have struggled in the past with Kate Morgan and Jenny Craig, with this plan the food is delicious and the weight just falls off you, you have to stick with it 1. The interplay of exercise and ketosis – Part II - You’ll recall from last week’s post I did a self- experiment to see if I could learn something about the interplay of exercise and ketosis, at least in myself. To understand this discussion, you’ll want to have read Part I of this post. However, before getting to this, I want to digress and briefly address two unrelated issues: Some of you (about 6.
